Be prepared to laugh out loud at the observational humor of Patton Oswalt at the Lyric, 140 West Mount Royal Ave. Actor/comedian Oswalt has appeared on such television shows as “The King of Queens,” “Mystery Science Theater 3000,” “Reno 911!” and movies  “Zoolander,” “The Secret Life of Pets 2,” and more. Ticket prices range from $58 to $139.

Watch the movie inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale “The Snow Queen,” accompanied by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at Disney’s Frozen In Concert at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, 1212 Cathedral St. Showtimes are 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Ticket prices range from $25 to $80.

Animal lovers don’t miss your chance to see the stars of the Netflix series “Cat People” in the fur when The Amazing Acro-Cats perform at the Theater at Creative Alliance, 3134 Eastern Avenue. This band of house cats, strays and orphans ride skateboards, jump through hoops, ring bells and more. The tour helps support Rock Cats Rescue, a nonprofit organization which rescues, cares for, adopts and finds homes for felines. This weekend’s shows are Friday at 7 p.m.; Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Ticket prices start at $30.

Listen to the mix of Detroit gospel and Afro-Caribbean rhythms for a unique jazz sound of Kenny Garrett at the Keystone Korner Baltimore, 1350 Lancaster St. Saxophonist and NEA Jazz Master Garrett will play selections from his latest release, “Sounds From The Ancestors.” Ticket prices range from $15 to $55. Dates and times are Friday 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.; Saturday 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.; and Sunday 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Sunday: SharkFest 2024

\Summer means it’s time to get back in the water, but first take a dip in shark territory at SharkFest 2024 at the Natural History Society of Maryland, 6908 Belair Road. Visitors can learn about the behavior and anatomy of these predators of the deep, including exploring fossil and shark teeth collections, listening to Emmy-Award-winning underwater cinematographer Nick Caloyianis and playing games and making crafts. All ages welcome. Admission is free but registration is required.
