Baltimore man arrested in connection with killing of 12-year-old girl – Baltimore Sun

The suspect wanted in connection with the Friday shooting of 12-year-old Breaunna Cormley was arrested Sunday, Baltimore Police said.

The suspected shooter, 28-year-old Omar Passmore, of Baltimore, was arrested by Baltimore County officers Sunday morning in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred in the 500 block of North Kenwood Avenue around 8 p.m. Friday.

Passmore is charged with first-degree murder and will be transported to Baltimore’s Central Booking Intake Facility, according to Baltimore Police on Sunday.

During a news conference with Mayor Brandon Scott on Friday night, Police Commissioner Richard Worley said responding officers located Cormley inside a home with a gunshot wound. He said CPR was administered, but that Cormley was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police stated that the shooting was intentional. Police have not disclosed the motive for the shooting nor Passmore’s relationship to Cormley and her family as of noon Sunday.

Neighbors in the McElderry Park neighborhood of East Baltimore described Cormley as quiet with a few close neighborhood friends.

In her spare time, she posted TikToks rating characters of the animated television series “Hazbin Hotel,” playing games and ranking subjects in school — her favorite being English and least favorite being math.
