Baltimore Man Sentenced In Elkridge Resident’s Death: HoCo Prosecutor

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A Baltimore man has been sentenced in connection to the death of 64-year-old James Sents, Jr., in his own Elkridge home in March 2023.

Dennis Lee Graham, 40, was found inside Sents’ home located in the 6000 block of Old Washington Road around 10:30 a.m. by Howard County Police who had received a report of a home invasion. They also found smoke coming from a bedroom where they found Sents dead on the scene. An investigation indicated that Graham had entered the residence and assaulted Sents. He also set a small fire in the bedroom that was extinguished by first responders, according to police.

Graham has been sentenced to 70 years in prison suspend all but 40 years. Upon his release from prison, Graham will be on five years of supervised probation. Graham pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and first-degree arson earlier this year.
