Officers and medics immediately gave the child CPR but she died at the scene, police said.

Authorities identified the victim as 12-year-old Breaunna Cormley. Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley said investigators are trying to determine if Cormley lived at the house where she was shot or if she was visiting, according to a WBAL report.

“It was not accidental, it was done on purpose,” Worley said of the shooting.

Police on Saturday were still searching for the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Omar Passmore. Authorities said Passmore should be considered armed and dangerous.

Authorities described the suspect as 6 feet, 1 inch tall. He weighs 230 pounds.

Anyone with information on Passmore’s whereabouts should call homicide detectives at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 866-7LOCKUP.
