The Baltimore area is expected to get numerous showers and thunderstorms as well as isolated instances of flash flooding this week. The National Weather Service predicts repetitive rounds of slow-moving thunderstorms through Thursday.
Tuesday will be partly sunny with a temperature high around 92 degrees. Evening conditions will shift to partly cloudy with a low around 73, and a 70% chance of precipitation is forecast to bring up to a quarter of an inch of rainfall. But higher amounts are possible in thunderstorms.
The chance of precipitation will drop to 40% Wednesday morning, with showers likely and thunderstorms possible. After 2 p.m., the day will be mostly cloudy with a high of 87 and the chance of rain increasing to 70% before dipping to 60% in the night. The temperature low will be 74.
There is a minimal chance of showers Thursday until 2 p.m., when the likelihood increases to 70%. Thursday afternoon will have a high of 87, followed by a low of 70 and a 60% chance of showers at night.
Going into the weekend, the stint of showers will subside as temperatures climb back into the 90s. Friday and Saturday are expected to have a high in the upper 80s. Temperatures will break into the 90s on Sunday.
